STORAGE
This machine should be dried before storing and must be stored in an enclosed dry environment. If
it is left in a damp humid environment then water damage may occur to the motor. It should not be
stored under a wood store.
PROBLEM
Fails to split logs
The carriage moves
slowly, jerkily.

PROBABLE CAUSE
Log is improperly positioned
The sizes or hardness of the log
exceeds the capacity of the machine
Operating lever obstructed
Wedge cutting edge is blunt
Low pressure caused by unauthorised
adjustment of the Max. Pressure
Limiting Screw.
Operating valve needs cleaning
Partial blockage of the pump oil ways. Close the bleed screw. Turn the
Sap on log bed
REMEDY
Refer to "Operation" section for
correct log loading.
Reduce the log sizes before splitting
it on the log splitter
Check that the plastic knob on
the end of the operating lever has
not unscrewed and obstructed it's
movement.
Refer to "Sharpening Wedge" section.
Contact the dealer.
Ensure the ram is back to the starting
position. Remove the nut holding the
lever and remove the lever. Remove
the valve, check the O-Ring and clean
the valve with lint free cloth. Replace
the valve and the lever.

the horizontal bolt at the top of the
motor end cover. Check the oilways
in the pump and the end plate for
signs of a blockage.
If no sign of a blockage, contact the
dealer
Clean log bed using carb cleaner or
similar. Dry off then apply a thin layer
of grease.
