Fault-finding
The machine does not feed the fabric
The stitch length is too short. Increase stitch
length.
The feed teeth may be lowered. Raise them
by turning the dial to
The feed teeth are full of dust and dirt. Clean
with the brush. See page 45.
The stitch is too loose - fabric layers
not held together
The thread tension is far too loose. Page 15
shows how to adjust the thread tension.
Incorrect stitch
If the machine does not sew the stitch indica-
ted by the display, it is possible that the elec-
tronics have been disturbed in some way,
perhaps by a short power cut or electrical
disturbance. Shut off the main switch, wait a
few seconds and try again. If the fault
remains, contact your dealer.
Machine runs sluggishly
Dirt or lint has built up under the stitch plate.
Loosen the plate and brush clean between
the feed teeth and in the bottom area. See
page 45.
Main motor does not work
The electronic overload protector may have
switched off. Shut off the main switch, wait
about a minute. Then swith on the machine.
Expert assistance
Have your machine "tuned up" regularly by
your dealer. If you have followed the
preceding points and still do not get
satisfactory results, you should contact the
dealer where you bought the machine. When
the machine is being checked, it is a great
help if it can be test sewn under as similar
conditions as possible as when you used it.
Remember to take a sewing sample along
with you, preferably of the fabric and with
the thread you intend to use.
A sewing sample will often give much better
information than words.
Non-original Parts and Accessories
The warranty does not cover any defect or
damage caused by use of non-original
accessories or parts.

Posibles averías
No hay avance del tejido
La longitud de la puntada es demasiado corta.
Pulsar la tecla (+). Puede ser que el transpor-
te esté bajado, véa pág. 17. El transporte está
lleno de pelusilla y apresto. Limpiarlo con un
pincel, ver la pág. 45.
La costura resulta demasiado floja -
las capas del tejido no están
fuertemente unidas
La tensión del hilo es demasiado floja.

Costura decorativa errónea
Cuando la máquina no reproduce el motivo
seleccionado, puede ser que el sistema elec-
trónico se haya visto influido por una pertur-
bación eléctrica o cualquier fallo eléctrico.
Entonces desconectar el interruptor principal
y volver a coser la misma costura. Si se vol-
viese a producir el mismo fallo, llamar a un
experto.
La máquina marcha con dificultad
Se haya acumulado demasiada pelusilla y ap-
resto por debajo de la placa de aguja. Quitar
la placa de aguja y limpiar el dentado del
transporte y en el canillero, ver la pág. 45.
La máquina no funciona
La protección electrónica de sobrecarga se
puede haber disparado. Desconectar la
máquina y volver a coser.
Asistencia técnica
Cuando se hayan seguido todas las instruccio-
nes mencionadas y no se consigan resultados
satisfactorios, ponerse en contacto con el es-
tablecimiento que le vendió la máquina. Allí,
le atenderán gustosamente con los consejos e
instrucciones correspondientes. También le
aconsejerán donde puede mandar la máquina
para un servicio. Sería de mucha utilidad y
ayuda para el personal técnico acompañar a
la máquina unas muestras del tejido e hilos
utilizados, como, asimismo, una muestra del
cosido defectuoso. Muchas veces una muestra
del cosido da mejor información que un
informe oral.
Accesorios y repuestos no originales
La garantía no cubre ningún desperfecto o
avería causado por la utilización de
accesorios o repuestos que no sean origina-
les.
