Lampenbrenndauer genutzt werden. Notieren Sie
sich bei einem Lampenwechsel den Zählerstand,
Kapitel 9.4 „Anzeige der Betriebsstunden".

Nach einem Lampenplatzer während des Be triebs
sollte die unmittelbare Umgebung der Lampe vor-
sichtshalber verlassen werden, um eine Gesund-
heitsgefährdung durch frei werdende Quecksilber-
dämpfe völlig auszuschließen. Sorgen Sie für eine
gute Raumdurchlüftung.
5 Montage
WICHTIG
Platzieren Sie das Gerät immer so, dass im Betrieb
eine ausreichende Luftzirkulation gewährleistet ist.

Der Abstand zu angrenzenden Flächen muss
mindestens 1 m betragen.
G
Die Lüftungsöffnungen am Gehäuse dürfen auf
keinen Fall abgedeckt werden.
G
Achten Sie auch unbedingt auf einen ausrei-
chenden Abstand zu leicht entflammbaren oder
hitzeempfindlichen Materialien.
Das Gerät kann auf einer festen, ebenen Fläche auf-
gestellt werden. Es lässt sich mithilfe der Befesti-
gungsmöglichkeiten der Bodenplatte aber auch
kopfüber an einer Traverse montieren. Die Boden-
platte ist in der Abbildung 6 auf der Seite 37 darge-
stellt. Zur Befestigung werden stabile Montage-
schellen be nötigt. Die Schellen direkt in die
M10-Ge winde (21) schrauben oder an dem mitgelie-
ferten Montagebügel (23) befestigen. Die Bolzen
(24) des Bügels, wie in der Abbildung gezeigt, in die
vorgesehenen Öffnungen (20) in der Bodenplatte
stecken und im Uhrzeigersinn verriegeln (bis zum

The lamp listed above contains slight quantities of
harmful substances (e. g. mercury) which may
affect the environment and therefore requires a
disposal as special waste in Europe. In other
countries, the corresponding national regulations
must be observed.
Replace the lamp at the latest after its 1.25 fold
average life because with increasing service life
the risk of a lamp explosion will considerably
increase due to structural transformation of the
quartz glass.

The unit is provided with a working hour meter.
This may be used to determine the lighting hours
of the lamp. Note down the count of the meter
when replacing the lamp – see chapter 9.4 "Dis-
play of the working hours".

After a lamp explosion during operation, everyone
should leave the immediate surroundings of the
lamp as a precaution to completely exclude a
health risk caused by the mercury vapours being
released; ensure a good ventilation of the room.
5 Mounting
IMPORTANT
Always place the unit in such a way that a sufficient
air circulation will be ensured during operation.

The unit must have a minimum distance of 1 m to
adjoining surfaces.

Never cover the air vents of the housing.
G
Always ensure a sufficient distance to easily
flammable material or material sensitive to heat.

6 Inbetriebnahme
WARNUNG Blicken Sie nicht direkt in den Licht-
strahl, das kann zu Augenschäden
führen.
Beachten Sie, dass sehr schnelle
Lichtwechsel bei fotosensiblen Men-
schen und Epileptikern epileptische
Anfälle auslösen können!
Das beiliegende Netzkabel zuerst in die Netzbuchse
(9) stecken und dann in eine Steckdose (230 V~/
50 Hz). Der Schwenkkopf und alle Steuermotoren
fahren in eine definierte Ausgangsstellung. Das Dis-
play (1) signalisiert währenddessen
ist das Gerät betriebsbereit und lässt sich über ein
DMX-Lichtsteuergerät bedienen (
läuft eigenständig sein Showprogramm durch

Kap. 7). Zum Ausschalten den Netzstecker aus
der Steckdose ziehen.
Um einen besseren Bedienkomfort zu erhalten,
ist es empfehlenswert, das Gerät an eine Steckdose
an zu schließen, die sich über einen Lichtschalter ein-
und ausschalten lässt.
Hinweis: Als Lichtquelle dient eine Entladungs-
lampe. Wird das Gerät nur kurz ausgeschaltet oder

By means of the fixing facilities of the base plate, the
unit can also be mounted upside down to a cross
arm. The base plate is shown in figure 6 on page 37.
For fixing, stable mounting clips are required.
Directly screw the clips into the M10 threads (21) or
fasten them to the supplied mounting bracket (23).
As shown in the figure, place the bolts (24) of the
bracket into the openings (20) provided in the base
plate and turn them clockwise (to the stop) to lock
them. The mounting place must be of sufficient sta-
bility and be capable of carrying a minimum load of
20 kg per unit.
WARNING The unit must be mounted expertly
and safely. If it is installed as a sus-
pended load above persons, it must
additionally be secured (e. g. by a
safety rope). Pull the safety rope
through the two openings (22) in the
centre of the base plate and fasten it
in such a way that the falling distance
of the unit may not exceed 20 cm.
6 Setting into Operation
WARNING Never look directly into the light
beam, this may cause eye damage.
Please note that very fast light
changes may trigger epileptic sei-
zures with photosensitive persons or
persons with epilepsy!
Connect the supplied mains cable to the mains jack
(9) first and then to a socket (230 V~/50 Hz). The
pan head and all control motors go to a defined start-
ing position. The display (1) meanwhile indicates

6.1 Grundeinstellungen

ger als 8 Sekunden warten, sonst wird der Einstell-
vorgang beendet.
Blackout-Modus ein oder aus
Mit der Taste DOWN oder UP (3) wählen:
Der Lichtstrahl wird nicht abgeblendet. Diese
Einstellung muss beim Betrieb ohne DMX-
Steuergerät gewählt werden.
Der Lichtstrahl wird abgeblendet, wenn kein
DMX-Steuersignal an der Buchse DMX IN -
PUT (11) anliegt (DMX-Steuergerät ausge-
schaltet oder nicht angeschlossen). Sobald
entsprechende DMX-Signale anliegen, wird
der Lichtstrahl freigegeben.
Zum Speichern die Taste ENTER dru ̈ cken.

For a more convenient operation it is recom-
mend ed to connect the unit to a socket which can be
switched on and off via a light switch.
Note: The light source is a discharge lamp. If, for a
short time only, the unit is switched off or discon-
nected from the power supply, the lamp will not
immediately light up again. To be able to ignite
again, it must cool down for some time.
6.1 Basic adjustments
Via a menu (fig. 2) the following basic adjustments
can be made. Press the button MENU (2) so many
times until the desired function is shown in the
display (1). Then press the button ENTER (4). Never
wait for more than 8 seconds to press the next
button, otherwise the adjusting procedure will be
stopped.
Blackout mode on or off
Select with the button DOWN or UP (3):
The light beam is not extinguished. This
adjustment must be selected when operat -
ing without DMX controller.
The light beam is extinguished when no
DMX control signal is present at the jack
DMX INPUT (11) [DMX controller switched
off or not connected]. As soon as corre -
spond ing DMX signals are present, the light
beam will be released.
To memorize, press the button ENTER.
Pan direction normal
or opposite
For operation with at least two TWIST-150 units, the
rotary arm of one unit may rotate in one direction
