Weight application
The following weight types and application methods
are available:
- Clip-on weights.
• Always apply by hand at 12 o'clock (Fig. 5-23).
• The lip should be inserted on the rim edge. Use
the weight pliers to correctly position it.
- Stick-on weights.
• With Laser Pointer enabled, apply by hand at
approx. 5 o'clock, where indicated by the pointer,
in case of Alu 2P, Alu 3P, Alu 2 and Alu 3 (Fig.
5-24). The same is true for STATIC balancing mode
calculated in the Alu modes indicated above.
• With Laser Pointer enabled, apply with arm gauge,
in case of Alu 1P (Fig. 5-24b).
• With Laser Pointer disabled. Apply with arm
gauge, in case of Alu 1P, Alu 2P and Alu 3P (Fig.
5-24b).
• Apply by hand at 12 o'clock in all other cases.
With STATIC balancing mode, always apply the
weight at 12 o'clock on the rim centre line. If not
possible, split the weights evenly and apply on
another surface of the rim (symmetrical to the rim
centre line).
Note: In STATIC balancing mode, only the left
hand display is used (1,Fig. 5-26).
After spinning the wheel look at the rotation indicators
for the left plane of the wheel (1, Fig. 5-25):
• Turn the wheel manually until it reaches the
counterweight application point;
Arrows above and below, completely green.
CAUTION: MOVE AWAY FROM THE WHEEL
- Alternatively, press on the value shown (A, Fig.
5-25), the motor starts the wheel until it reaches the
WAP position (Green arrows).
