Operation
5.6.3.2 Width Automatic Entry
The machines featuring a Sonar detector automatically
acquire the width while wheel protection moves down.
• Lower the protection with a regular and continuous
movement.
Important warning:
For machines without SONAR, width must be
always acquired through the keyboard.
Note:
If more than one wheel of the same type
needs to be balanced (with the same nominal
dimensions) the data need only be set for the fi rst
wheel. The selections stay set until other new data are
set or the machine is switched off.
5.7 Easy ALU Functions
ALU 2P & ALU 3P
The Easy Alu function allows to automatically obtain
the rim dimensional data:
By touching two separate points you can have both
ALU 2P e ALU 3Pmodes.
In both cases the Easy Alu Toggle key (fi g. 5-22)
allows to change the displayed selection after touching
the rim.
NORMAL and ALU 1P
By touching one point you have the NORMAL mode
available. The same is true if you press Easy Alu
Toggle (fi g. 5-22) of the ALU 1P mode.
EASY ALU TOGGLE
Automatic correction of the proposed Alu
According to the contact points of the gauge on the
rim, the machine deduces which Alu mode the user
probably wants. If the Alu proposed by the machine
does not exactly correspond to the desired one, it can
be changed by means of "Easy Alu Toggle" function.
— Press the "Easy Alu Toggle" key (Fig. 5-22) to
obtain an Alu mode alternative to that offered for
the rim being processed.
Note: Alu can be changed only before the measuring
run.
