Installation Procedure (continued)
7) Install the side screws to the mounting blocks. Cover the screw head
with the provided screw-cap (see Ill. 6).
IMPORTANT: If the side screw does not hit the mounting blocks, then
the toilet bowl is not fully inserted in the socket.
If the toilet is not installed properly, it may
slide out of socket or leak.
CAUTION
Please ensure that both sides are properly
fitted and secure. Be sure not to over-tight-
en the screws, as it may results in product
damage.
8) Connect the water supply to the fill valve. The water supply must
be connected to the fill valve BEFORE the tank-to-bowl installation.
TOTO recommends using a flexible supply hose (see Ill. 7).
CAUTION! Do not over-tighten the coupling nut. Only turn it a quarter
turn max after hand-tightening.
Please be sure to connect the water supply
to the fill valve before installing the tank to

the bowl. If procedure is reversed, the water
supply installation may be impossible.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS INSTRUCTION
MAY RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY AND/
OR PROPERTY DAMAGE.
9) Make sure the fill valve nut and flush valve nut are tightened properly.
Install the tank to the bowl gasket over the flush valve outlet on under-
side of the tank (see Ill. 8).
Pick up the tank and carefully guide the flush valve outlet into the
bowl inlet on the bowl tank-shelf. Make sure the bolts on the bowl fit
through the opening in the base of the tank.
10) For easy assembly, remove the top-portion of the flush valve by
disconnecting the refill tube, turning the upper portion of the valve
counter-clockwise, and pulling up (see Ill. 9). Insert the rubber washer
then metal washer on the mounting bolt. Thread on the nuts, hand-
tighten before releasing the tank. Tighten the nuts evenly until tank
sets snugly on the bowl. Re-install flush valve and refill tube.
Do not over-tighten the mounting bolt.
Over tightening may result in product

breakage and cause personal injury and/or
property damage.
11) Connect the opposite end of the water supply tube to the angle stop.
Open the supply valve and flush the toilet several times. Carefully
check all the connections for leaks. Periodically check for leaks several
days following the installation.
12) Carefully place the lid on top of the tank, making sure that the push
rod colors match the flush valve buttons (blue to blue and white to
white).
To replace or readjust the push rod height, push down on one button
while pulling the opposite button up with your finger to remove it. Use
the provided longer push rod, and insert them through the push but-
ton housing. Cut the push rod at the shown location (see Ill. 11). Install
the rods into the push buttons, and insert the buttons in the housing
until they click into place.
13) The toilet seat is installed with the top-mount bolt set. Insert the rub-
ber bushing-nut into the seatmounting holes. Place the seat on the
bowl and rotate the hinge unit into place while holding the seat down
on the bowl. Tighten the bolt from the top with the screwdriver.
