Tips for using the hob
How to adjust the control of the hob? The following table provides some information:
Browning, cooker open
Parboil, heating
Cooking, steaming, heating
Roughly follow these settings and adjust as necessary.
Induction hobs heat very efficiently. You can select a lower setting if necessary. Refer to the user manual
of your hob.
Preparation
1. Put all ingredients in the pressure cooker, observing the specified filling quantities.
2. Close the cooker with the lid. The locking device (9) "clicks" backwards into place.
Which setting of the pressure control should I select?
• The pressure control can be adjusted continuously between BIO and MAX.
• BIO setting allows you to cook gently at approx. 105°C.
• MAX setting allows you to cook your food especially quickly at approx. 120°C.
• Please refer to chapter "Cooking time table".
Parboiling until the lid locks
1. Heat the pressure cooker at the maximum power setting.
2. Steam escapes first from the pressure indicator (10). Depending on the filling quantity of the pressure
cooker this might take several minutes.
3. Once the pressure indicator rises and no more steam escapes, the lid is locked. Pressure starts ac-
cumulating inside the pressure cooker.
4. A little later, steam will escape through the pressure control. Select a medium setting on your hob.
5. Adjust the hob in such a way that only a little steam escapes from the pressure control.
CAUTION:
• Steam escapes through the pressure control during operation. That happens in sudden bursts
and without warning!
• Position the pressure cooker in such a way that steam can escape freely, i.e., that steam is not
directed towards cupboards or sensitive surfaces.
• The liquid inside the pressure cooker should never evaporate completely!
Cooking time
• Start measuring the cooking time once steam escapes from the pressure control.
• Remove the pressure cooker from the hob after the cooking time has elapsed.
Please refer to chapter "Cooking time table" for more information.
