Connecting the Projector

When you connect the projector, make sure to:
• Turn off all equipment before making any connections.
• Use the proper cables for each connection.
• Insert the cable plugs firmly; loose connections may
increase noise and reduce performance of picture
signals. When pulling out a cable, be sure to pull it out
from the plug, not the cable itself.
• When installing the optional input board, consult your
Sony dealer.
Refer also to the instruction manuals of the equipment to
be connected.
Connecting a Computer Equipped
With a DVI Connector
Connect a computer equipped with a DVI connector to the
DVI-D connector on INPUT A of the projector, or that on
the optional LKRI-004 interface board attached to the
input board attachment part. A progressive DVI signal can
be input.
Before connection, setting of the DIP switch at the bottom
of INPUT A and LKRI-004 interface board is required.

Setting the DIP switch

Set the DIP switch (S101) at the bottom of INPUT A and
LKRI-004 interface board depending on the input signal
type of the connected computer. Be sure to set Switch 1
and Switch 2 to the same position.
As mentioned in the table below, if the EDID ROM used
is ROM 1, set both Switch 1 and Switch 2 to ON (slide
them backward), or set them to OFF (slide forward) if the
EDID ROM used is ROM 2.
