2) Clip the valve onto the inflator chuck making sure it is properly connected.
3) Make a last check to be certain that tyre and rim diameter correspond.
4) Check to be certain that rim and beads are sufficiently lubricated. If necessary lubricate some more.
5) Seat the beads with short bursts of air. Between bursts, check the air pressure on the inflator gauge.
Check to see if the beads have seated and, if not, repeat the process.
Special take must be taken when seating beads on humped or double humped anti-bead breaking rims.
6) Continue to inflate the tyre with short bursts of air and constantly checking the pressure between bursts until the required pressure has
been reached.
7) If this procedure does not cause the bead to seat successfully, stop inflation, remove the wheel from the machine, lubricate the wheel rim
and tyre beads thoroughly, fit the wheel on the machine again and repeat the inflation procedure.
EXPLOSION HAZARD!
- NEVER exceed 3.5 bar (50 Psi) when seating beads or inflating tyres.
IMPORTANT! If a higher tyre inflation pressure is required, remove the wheel from the tyre changer and
continue the inflation procedure with the wheel inside a special protection cage (commercially available).
- NEVER exceed the maximum inflation pressure given by the tyre manufacturer.
- ALWAYS keep hands and entire body back from inflating tyre.
- ONLY specially trained personnel are allowed to perform these operations.
- Do not allow other to operate or be near the tyre changer.
A catalogue containing a list of the accessories available is supplied with the tyre changer.
All accessories come with a complete set of instructions for mounting on tyre changers and correct use. USE ONLY ORIGINAL SPARES.
Using accessories that are not original can affect the safety of the tyre changer and immediately cause the warranty to become invalid.
WARNING!
Before making any inspection, adjustment or repair be certain power source is disconnected:
1) disconnect the machine from the mains electric supply.
2) disconnect the machine from the compressed air circuit by
detaching the compressed air line from the quick couple.
Perform the following routine maintenance operations:
1) From time to time (about every 15 days) check the oil level in the lubricator, which should
be between the "MIN" and "MAX" indicators on the jar (1, Fig. L).
Top up as needed as follows:
- Unscrew the jar (1, fig. L)
- Top up with ISO VG 32 viscosity ISO HG class oil for compressed air circuit (such as ESSO
Febis K32; Mobil Vacouline Oil 1405; KLUBER Airpress 32).
2) Every 2 or 3 days check if after every 2 or 3 pedal movements (3 or 5, Fig. E) a drop of
oil falls into the lubricator glass cup.
If it does not, adjust the lubricator regulating screw using a screwdriver (see Fig. L).
