The following precautions should be taken in order to
prevent serious injuries and accidents.
1 -
Carefully read and follow the instructions printed on the
labels fixed to the machine (Look page 2).
2 -
Keep bystanders, particularly children and pets away from
the mowing area (Fig. 1).
3 -
Do not allow any inexperienced or under age persons, or
those who may not possess sufficient strength, to operate
the mower or if you have taken alcohol, drugs, or
medication (Fig. 2).
4 -
When the engine is running, do not put hands or feet near

5 -
Alwa

(Look page 12-13).

Wear only tough shoes when mowing, never sandals

7 -
Always put on safety glasses or eye protection before
starting to work (Look page 12-13).
8 -
Familiarize yourself thoroughly with the controls and the
proper use of the mower, before using it, especially on

9 -
Do not mow on wet grass or other slippery surfaces; keep
a firm hold on the handle and walk behind the mower

10 -
Do not mow up or down a slope, but always across it; if
the slope is too steep, do not mow (Fig. 5).

Mow only in daylight or under strong artificial lighting.
12 -
Always check that rear deflector is properly in place
(Fig. 6).
13 -
If you strike an object, stop the engine and check for any

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

15 -
Never stand in front of the mower when the engine is
running.
16 -
Stop the engine when crossing paths, drives and when
transporting the lawnmover to and from the area to be
mowed.
17 -
Maker certain that all nuts, bolts and screws are securely
tightened (Fig. 8).
18 -
Start mowing only after having checked that all the safety
systems are fitted and operating correctly.
19 -
Before leaving the mower, stop the engine and make sure
that all rotating parts have stopped moving.
20 -
Allow the engine to cool before putting the mower into an
enclosed place.
21 -
If the engine is started without the grass bag fitted, do not
stand near the outlet (Fig. 11).
22 -
If the mower is left unattended, stop the engine and park it
on level ground.
23 -
Before cleaning or carrying out any repairs, stop the motor
and disconnect the plug from the mains (Fig. 9).
24 -
Stop the motor and disconnect the plug from the mains
both before removing the bag, before cleaning the hole
where the grass comes out and if the cable is damaged
during use.
25 -
We recommended that you use extension cables in
neoprene or, in any case, those having double insulation,
with safety plugs for outdoor use. Check the plugs and
extension cable before each use and replace them
immediately if damaged. The electrical plugs must be
watertight (Fig. 10).
26 -
The electrical connection cable must be situated in such a
way as to prevent people or vehicles from damaging it,
which is a safety risk for them and you.
27 -
Local by-laws may place restrictions on the age of the
operator and the use of the machine in certain conditions.
28 -
Bear in mind that the operator is responsible for accidents
or risks to other persons or to their property.
29 -
Replace worn or damaged blades and bolts in sets to
preserve balance
30 -
Always maintain a secure footing on slopes (Fig. 13).
31 -
Exercise extreme caution when changing direction on
slopes and when transporting the lawnmover to and from
the area to be mowed.
32 -
Start the engine carefully according to instructions and

with feet well away from the blade.
33 -
Pull the plug from the socket: whenever you leave the
machine, before cleaning blockages or unclogging chute,
if you take the grass catcher, before cleaning or repairing
the mover, if lawnmover starts to vibrate abnormally (check
immediatly) and after striking a foreign object. Inspect the
appliance for damage and make repairs before operating
the lawnmover. (Fig. 9).
34 -
Replace worn or damaged parts.
35 -
Ensure that only replacement cutting means of the right
type are used (Fig. 14).
