"FULL DIAGNOSTIC"
To display the
"INTERNAL SIDEWALL PLOT" screen
— Select "INTERNAL SIDEWALL" item (5, Fig.
7-87).
The screen with the analysis of the internal side wall
(Fig. 7-88) appears.
Fig. 7-88
The top shows the flat internal tyre sidewall view (E)
for a section of the circumference.
— Rotate manually to scroll and display the sidewall
of the entire circumference.
The colour provides information on the uniformity of
the internal sidewall of the tyre and rim, including part
of the rim. A uniform color indicates a uniform sidewall,
whilst changes in color indicate surface deformations
and, even if slight, they indicate lack of linearity.
On the bottom there is the graph (F), of the section
of tread examined. The line reproduces the structure
of the tyre sidewall and of part of the rim, in the exact
point indicated by the angular position index (I) along
the circumference.
Note:
The angular position index (I) is fixed on the trace,
whilst the wheel display (E) moves as the wheel is
rotated. The index corresponds to the 12 o'clock
physical position on the wheel.
To display the
"EXTERNAL SIDEWALL PLOT" screen
— Select item (6, Fig. 7-89).
The screen with the analysis of the external sidewall
(Fig. 7-90) appears.
Fig. 7-90
The flat external tyre sidewall view (G) is shown for a
specific section of the circumference.
On the bottom there is the graph (H) with the wheel
sidewall profile in the exact position indicated by the
index (I) in the view (G).
Note:
The index (I) corresponds to the 12 o'clock
physical position on the wheel.
ATTENTION:
large wheels may require specific adapters to
read the wheel sidewall correctly.
