CAUTION
Incorrect head support adjustment
Injury to health due to incorrect head position of the user
Assemblies and head supports may only be mounted and adjusted by appropriately trained
and qualified personnel.
Have the setting of the head support and the tightness of the screw connections checked at
regular intervals.
If the setting of the head support changes during daily use, have this immediately reset to
the correct position by a specialist.
CAUTION
Incorrect settings
Hitting components due to violent head movements of the user
Do not position yourself behind the head support during adjustment, but at its side.

5 Scope of delivery

The scope of delivery includes:
Head support with attachment plate for ball connection
6 Installation
Tools: 4 mm Allen key

1) Loosen and remove the Allen head screws on the back of the head support (see fig. 5).
2) Secure the ball connection on the attachment plate of the head support.
3) Align the head support with the mounting holes and tighten the Allen head screws with a
torque of 5 Nm.
7 Settings
The head supports can be adapted in various ways in order to offer the user support. Note the fol­
lowing regarding the settings:
Position the contact surface of the head support as close as possible to the back of the user's
head (distance not more than 50 mm).
Adjust the pad so that the centre of the contact surface is at the height of the top of the ears,
unless otherwise required from a medical perspective.
Please note that the most appropriate head support for a user should always be determined
by a suitably qualified or experienced person based on a full individual clinical risk assess­
ment and used in conjunction with a full programme of care.

7.1 Angle adjustment on the ball joint

The unique ball connection of the mounting parts allows the head support to be installed at any
angle (see fig. 5).
Tools: 4 mm Allen wrench

1) Loosen the Allen head screws that connect the head support to the mounting.
2) Place the head support in the desired position.
3) Tighten the Allen head screws with a torque of 5 Nm.

7.2 Adaptation with foam wedges (only 430H2)

Two positioning wedges are included in the scope of delivery of the 430H2 head support with
ABS exterior shell. These wedges consist of cross-linked polyethylene foam and can be cut to the
desired shape if necessary.
1) Remove the exterior shell of the head support (see fig. 6).
