2) Pull the multi-layer foam out of the ABS support plate (see fig. 7; foam and support plate are
connected with hook and loop closure).
3) Place the wedge in the desired position.
4) Reinsert the multi-layer foam and securely fasten the hook and loop closure around the
wedge.
5) Pull the exterior shell back over it.

7.3 Adaptation with occiput pad (476L49=SK00* only)

The scope of delivery for the 476L49=SK00* concave head support includes an occiput pad for
occipital support (back of the head). This pad consists of polyurethane foam and can be cut to the
desired shape if necessary.
1) Undo the hook and loop closures on the exterior shell and remove the exterior shell of the
head support (see fig. 8).
2) Place the occiput pad in the desired position on the head support foam (see fig. 9).
3) Pull the exterior shell back over it (see fig. 8) and close the hook and loop closures.

7.4 Adjustment of the lateral pad

Only 476L49=SK020, 476L49=SK01*
The angle of the side pads can be individually adapted to the user's head via the hinges on the
back. With the 476L49=SK01* head support, the distance between the side pads and the middle
pad is also adjustable.
Adjusting the angle
Tools: 4 mm Allen key
>
1) Loosen the Allen head screw somewhat (see fig. 10, item A).
2) Adapt angle as needed.
3) Tighten Allen head screw with a torque of 7 Nm (see fig. 10, item A).
Adjust the distance of the side pads to the middle pad (only 476L49=SK01*)
Tools: 4 mm Allen key

1) Somewhat loosen the 6 Allen head screws that secure the hinge to the side and middle pad
(see fig. 10, item B).
2) Adapt the distance as needed by moving the hinge against the pad.
3) Tighten the Allen head screws with a torque of 5 Nm.

8 Cleaning and care

Cover
1) The cover can be washed at 60 °C [140 °F] using a mild, environmentally friendly detergent.
Recommendation: Wash the cover using the delicate cycle at 40 °C [104 °F] to prevent
excessive wear.
2) Dry on the gentle cycle.
3) Allow to air dry. When using an automatic clothes dryer, select the delicate cycle at low tem­
perature.
INFORMATION
The cover must not be bleached or ironed.
Foam pad (if removable)
1) Remove the multi-layer foam pad from the head support.
2) Wipe with a damp cloth.
