5.3 - ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
5.3.1 - Total deletion of control unit memory
It is possible to delete all memorised data on the control unit and reset it to the
original factory settings.
The control unit has 2 types of deletion:
• Deletion for sectional doors: with this type of deletion, the typical default
values are loaded to control a sectional door or shutter.
• Deletion for High-speed doors: with this type of deletion, the typical
default values are loaded to control a High-speed door with inverter.
Deletion for sectional doors or shutters:
01.
Press and hold down "s" and "t" keys at the same time;
02.
Release the keys when all LEDs illuminate (after approx.3 seconds);
03.
If the operation has taken place correctly, the programming LEDs will
flash quickly for 3 seconds.
Deletion for High-speed doors:
01.
Press and hold down "s" and "t" keys at the same time;
02.
After 3 seconds, the programming LEDs illuminate and then turn off:
release the keys when all LEDs turn off (after approx. 6 seconds);
03.
If the operation has taken place correctly, the programming LEDs will
flash quickly for 6 seconds.
Important – This procedure does not delete the parameter regarding the
"direction of motor rotation" and the "number of manoeuvres performed".
5.3.2 - Other functions
• "Always open" function
This function is a special feature of the control unit; it is associated with the
"Step Step" input and enables an always open command when the "Step
Step" command remains active for more than 3 seconds. This function is valid
for any setting of the "Step Step" input (see "S.S. Function" in Table 8).
For example, it can be used to connect a clock for programming the
permanent opening of the door during a specific time band.
• "Move anyway" function
If one or more safety devices in the system malfunctions or is out of service,
this function enables control of the door in "hold-to-run" mode (see "10 -
operating manual").

• "Maintenance notification" function
This function enables notification of when an automation maintenance check
is necessary. The "Maintenance notification" parameter can be set through the
Oview programmer. The maintenance notification is signalled via the "Flash"
flashing light or by the "maintenance indicator" according to the type of setting.
The signals emitted by the "Flash" flashing light and the "maintenance indicator"
are shown in Table 8.
• Manoeuvre counter reset
The number of manoeuvres can be reset at the end of the automation
maintenance phase.
Resetting takes place by deactivating the "Maintenance indicator" function
relating to the "OUT1" output or through the use of the Oview programmer.
Note - During the execution of this function, temporarily disconnect the device
connected to output OUT1.
• Status indicator and diagnostics
The control unit allows for connecting a 24V-5W max. indicator light to the
"indicator" terminal on the pushbutton board housed inside the box cover
(Fig. 23: terminal 1 -, 2 +).
The "indicator" can be installed on the cover itself, by making a hole on the
latter, or it can be installed outside the control unit at a maximum distance
of 2 m from the latter. CAUTION! - The output is not protected against
short-circuits.
This "indicator" functions in the following way:

- the operation of the Bluebus LED is reported with the same diagnostics
notifications;
- the indicator remains lit (fixed light) when the safety circuit (STOP from terminal
or button, motor thermal protection device, motor release, etc.) is interrupted.

5.3.3 - Procedure to activate the Maintenance indicator
(when it is not already active)
01.
Press and hold down the "Set" key for approx. 3 seconds;
02.
Release the key when LED L1 starts flashing;
03.
Press "s" or "t" key to move from the flashing LED to L4 LED
("OUT1" input LED);
04.
Press and hold the "Set" key through to completion of point 07;
05.
Wait approx. 3 seconds, until the LED of the programmed output
illuminates;
06.
Press "s" or "t" key to move the LED lit on L8;
07.
Release the "Set" key and wait for the output for the timeout from the
programming procedure.
5.3.4 - Procedure to deactivate the Maintenance indicator
(when it is already active)
01.
Press and hold down the "Set" key for approx. 3 seconds;
02.
Release the key when LED L1 starts flashing;
03.
Press "s" or "t" key to move from the flashing LED to L4 LED
("OUT1" input LED);
04.
Press and hold the "Set" key through to completion of point 07;
05.
Wait approx. 3 seconds, until LED L8 illuminates;
06.
Press "s" or "t" key to move the LED lit on a LED other than L8;
07.
Release the "Set" key and wait for the output for the timeout from the
programming procedure.
Now the maintenance notification has been cancelled.
Note - Set the programming of the OUT1 output again with the device to be
used and then connect it to the output again.
5.3.5 - Adding or removing devices
New devices can be added at any time, connected to the BlueBus and Stop
input or those already present can be removed as required.
To do this procedure, proceed as follows:
01.
Press and hold down "s" and "Set" keys at the same time;
02.
Release the buttons when LEDs L1 and L2 start flashing very quickly
(after approx. 3 s);
03.
Wait a few seconds for the control unit to finish the connected device
learning phase;
04.
At the end of this phase, the STOP LED must remain lit, while LEDs
L1 and L2 turn off (where relevant LEDs L3 and L4 start flashing).
After performing this procedure, the automation testing procedure
must be performed as described in chapter 6.
5.3.6 - Bluebus Input
This Bluebus system allows device connections to be made using just 2
conductors for both the electricity supply and the communication signals. All
devices are connected in parallel on the same 2 Bluebus wires, without the need
to observe polarity. Each device is individually recognised because a unique
address is assigned to it during installation. The Bluebus system can be used to
connect the following: photocells, safety devices, control devices such as key-
boards and readers for transponder cards, indicator lamps, etc. The control unit
recognises each one of the devices connected during the learning phase and is
able to detect all possible faults in maximum safety. For this reason each time
a device is connected to or removed from Bluebus the learning phase must be
repeated, as described in paragraph 3.12.
