TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS AND OPERATING START
4.1
Zhermack designs and manufactures work instruments that provide cutting-edge technology and

The SAND sandblasting equipments have been designed for the sandblasting of products used for
odontotechny purposes. SAND sandblasting equipments, whether in the single module (S23), two-
module (S24, S24R) or three-module (S25 - S25R) versions, feature pressure-adjustable sandblasting
nozzles in Widia available in a range of sizes so that the technician-operator can configure a
sandblasting equipment that meets his specific technical needs.
The following items are supplied as standard:
• the S23 has a single ø 0.8 mm nozzle for sands from 50 to 110 µm.
• the S24 and S24R have ø 0.8 mm and ø 1.3 mm nozzles for sands from 25 to 250 µm plus a third ø
3 mm sand recycle nozzle for the S24R.
• S25, S25R with ø 0.6 mm nozzles for sands from 25 to 60 µm, ø 0.8 mm for sands from 50 to 110 µm,
ø 1.3 mm for sands from 110 to 250 µm plus a fourth nozzle for both versions which differ as follows:
- an air blower nozzle on the S25;
- a ø 3 mm recycle sandblasting block nozzle on the S25R that allows sand recycle via automatic
drawing. The new system, which pumps air into the tank cylinders, allows the sand to exit
completely, thus resolving the problem of continuous top-ups and atomisation of lumps of sand
caused by humidity.
Where there is more than one tank (i.e. not the S23 which has a single 50/110 µm tank) there are:
• 2 tanks, of 50/110 µm and 110/250 µm respectively, for the S24 and S24R;
• 3 tanks, of 25/60 µm, 50/110 µm and 110/250 µm respectively, for the S25 and S25R. A switching
device has been installed for rapid sandblasting change-overs within the same sandblasting
chamber, thus making work easier where different sands are required.
