Installation instructions for INST-5000
Shaft radio provision
1. Slide the aftermarket radio into the kit and
secure with shaft nuts. (Figure A)
2. Mount the rear support bracket to the back of
the radio with the necessary hardware.
(Figure B)
3. Locate the factory wiring harness in the dash.
Metra recommends using the proper mating
adapter from Metra or AXXESS. Re-connect the
negative battery terminal and test the radio for
proper operation.
4. Remove the top (2) Phillips screws securing the
climate control cluster to the sub-dash.
5. Slide the radio/kit assembly into the dash cavity
(be sure the rear support bracket engages the
support shelf in the dash).
6. Mount the bottom legs of the kit to the same
holes in the climate control cluster with the (2)
Phillips screws previously removed. (Figure C)
7. Reassemble dash in reverse order
of disassembly.
