amount of moss and matted grass
in the lawn you can switch on the
aerator roller regularly. The recom-
mended cutting height is approx.
25 – 40 mm. The aerator springs
work at soil level and remove moss
and matted grass. Air, water and
nutrients can penetrate into the soil
again. The lawn becomes more
attractive, denser and tougher.
Using the aerator roller
Aerating at soil depth.
Aerating the surface of the soil.
Combing the lawn.
Collecting leaves.
Mowing with the Grass Box

The grass box must be emptied as
soon as grass residue is left lying
on the lawn.
Warning! Turn off the motor
A
and wait for the cutting
mechanism to come to a standstill
before taking off the grass box.
To remove the grass box, lift the
protective flap (fig. 6, item 1) on
the lawnmower with one hand.
Lift the grass box by the carrying
handle (figure 6, item 2) with the
other hand. If you let go of the
flap it drops automatically and
closed the discharge aperture.
If grass residue is left in the dis-
charge aperture, it is useful in
order to start the mower more
easily to draw it backwards about
Use in Summer
In dry weather it is important to
prevent the lawn grass from drying
out or turning brown. Therefore do
not cut it too short. We recommend
a cutting height of 40 – 45 mm.
The aerator roller can be switched
on every 2nd or 3rd time the lawn
is cut and combs out residue from
cutting plus matted grass lying on
the surface. The aerator roller
should be turned off when cutting
long grass.

A
residue of cut grass from
the mower housing with your
hands or feet, use a suitable tool
such as a brush or broom.
Emptying the Grass Box
Hold the removed grass box by
the handle with one hand and tip
out the cut grass.
Note:
To guarantee that the grass box fills
well, clean it after use, especially
the air grille.
Fitting the Grass Box
Warning! Only fit the grass

box with the motor turned
off and the cutting mechanism
stationary.
Use in Autumn
To prepare the lawn perfectly for
the coming winter, we recommend
cutting the lawn down to approx.
25 mm. When the aerator roller
is switched on it removes moss and
matted grass plus wet or solid
leaves.
Clean the mower housing each
time the mower is used.
Mode of operation of aerator roller
The aerator springs penetrate up
to 7 mm into the sward, depending
on the nature of the soil.
The aerator springs remove moss,
matted grass and weed rooting on
the surface.
The aerator springs work residues
out of the lawn.
The aerator springs remove even
wet or soil leaves from the lawn.
Raise the protective flap on the
lawnmower with one hand.
Hold the grass box by the handle
with the other hand and fit it in the
locking mounting.
Note:
If fitted correctly the protective
flap rests precisely against the
grass box.
Mowing without the Grass Box
The protective flap is arranged in
such a way that it is also possible
to mow with the protective flap
closed and without the grass box
as a matter of principle. The cut
grass then drops on the lawn under
the protective flap.
