Coarse dirt or contamination must be
removed after use with a disposable
cloth / paper towel to prevent residue
drying on the device.
Dirt that has dried on the device makes
the cleaning more difficult and may also
cause material changes.

Procedure for disinfecting the
light head:
Carefully wipe the surfaces, applying
the disinfectant to all parts:
1. Wipe the surface of the light housing
and the control elements in a cross-
wise direction with a disinfectant wipe.
2. Wipe the indentations of the
control elements lengthways with
a disinfectant wipe.
3. Wipe the hand grip area in a cross-
wise direction with a disinfectant
wipe.
4. Wipe the protective glass in circular
movements with a disinfectant wipe.
Procedure for disinfecting the
light foot:
Carefully wipe the surfaces, applying
the disinfectant to all parts.
Removing chemical residues:
At the end of the application time, wipe
over with a disposable cloth.
Allow the housing surfaces to dry fully
at room temperature.

coatings) and damage and if necessary
cleaned and disinfected again, or, in
case of damage, taken out of service.

Maintenance
The HEINE EL10 LED
examination light does not require any
®
maintenance. The LED lamp cannot be replaced. In case of a fault or
defect, please contact HEINE.
Replacing fuses
Switch off the examination light and remove the power cable from the
device. The fuses are located in the fuse holder of the panel mount
connector. Use only the fuses specified in the technical data as replace-
ment fuses.
Changing the protective glass
Once the protective glass has been replaced, check it regularly to ensure
it is correctly and securely fitted.
First, remove the cover using a screwdriver on the lateral projections. Unscrew
the holder using the tool provided. The protective glass can now be replaced.
Fit the new protective glass in the reverse sequence of steps. Tighten the
threaded ring with moderate force.
Technical safety inspection
The power supply unit and power cable should be inspected for damage
and that they are in good working order at regular intervals.
The technical safety inspection must be carried out every two years in
accordance with the generally accepted rules of technology.

Service
The device may not be modified in any way.
For repair, send the device to HEINE or an authorized service partner
only, to avoid the risk of electrical shocks, burns or injuries due to
improper repair work or handling.
This product does not require regular service.
Disposal
The product must be recycled as separated electrical and electronic
devices. Please observe the relevant state-specific disposal regulations.
