9 Care and maintenance
If the DNCV-... is dirty:
Clean the DNCV-... with a soft cloth.

Permitted cleaning agents are:
– soap suds (max. 60 °C)
– all non-abrasive agents.
If there is a reduction in output during continuous operation:
order a wearing parts kit.

Dismantling and repairs

If using the variant DNCV-5/3G-... :
Warning
Components subjected to pressure can be unexpectedly ejected, thereby
causing injuries.
S Make sure that both cylinder chambers are always exhausted before dis-
mantling them for repairs.
The cylinder chambers of the DNCV-5/3G-... with blocked basic position are
under pressure despite the DNCV-... not being pressurized.
In order to exhaust both cylinder chambers you must unscrew the four cover
screws two turns alternately and loosen the cylinder cover by gently tapping
it (e.g. with a rubber hammer).
Repeat the procedure until the compressed air has streamed out completely.
When replacing components:
Make sure that the following sources of power are switched off:

– the power supply
– the compressed air supply.
If required:
Return the DNCV-... to our repair service for overhaul. You can also carry out
S
repairs yourself to the valve actuator or proximity switch by using the
appropriate spare parts.
