The attainable capacity variation field is, indicatively, from 1 to 1/7 with respect to the maximum capacity
stated on plate.
Ignition is preceded, as provided for in the regulations, by pre-ventilation of the combustion chamber.
The pre-ventilation stage for the combustion chamber takes place with the air damper at the large flame position.
At the end of the pre-ventilation stage, the air combustion air dampers are brought back to the ignition flame
position. If the pressure switch for the pre-ventilation air pressure shows sufficient pressure, the ignition transformer
is switched on and then the gas valves (main and pilot) switch on. The quantity of gas (m
flame can be adjusted with the air damper servo motor (see 0002933490) and with the flow adjuster of the
two pilot light valves.
The flame then appears, detected by the control device (UV photo-electric cell) that permits completion of the
ignition stage with the switching off of the ignition transformer.
The programmer relay passes the lock position and supplies voltage to the main valves which then open.
The pilot circuit switches off after the main valves have opened. The amount of gas supplied with the large flame
must be adjusted with the air damper servo motor (see diagram 0002933490). If there is no ignition flame, the
equipment carries out an automatic system safety stop. If there is such a "safety stop", the valves immediately
close again. To release the equipment from the safety lock position, press the release button on the display.
Note: To adjust the gas valves see the specific instructions in the following pages.
The air damper is worked by an electric motor (see specific instructions on the following pages). When the
damper goes to its fully closed position, the burner will stopped by the action of the thermostat.
DESCRIPTION OF CONTINUOUS MODULATION FUNCTION
See the instructions for gas valves model "SKP 70 ..."
The delivery adjustment field is, indicatively, from 1 to 1/7.
When the burner is on at minimum capacity, and if the modulation probes permit (adjusted for a temperature or
pressure value greater than that in the boiler), the air adjustment servo motor starts to rotate to cause a gradual
increase in the supply of combustion air, and consequently of gas, until the maximum supply for which the burner
has been adjusted is reached. The increase of fan air pressure is detected by the gas valve sensor, model "SKP
70...", which gradually adjusts the gas supply to the change in air pressure. The burner stays at maximum delivery
until the temperature or pressure reaches a level high enough to cause the modulation probe to turn the air
adjustment servo motor in the opposite direction.
The backward rotation and hence reduction in the supply of air and gas, takes place at short time intervals.
This enables the modulation system to balance the amount of heat supplied to the boiler with what it loses to the
user parts. The modulation probe for the boiler detects demand changes and automatically adjusts the supply of
combustion air by switching on the air adjustment servo motor with a rotation increase or decrease. If the pressure
or temperature limit is reached even at the minimum delivery for which the full stop device is adjusted (thermostat
or pressure switch), the burner will be stopped by the action of the stop device. By lowering the temperature or
pressure below the level at which the stop device intervenes, the burner is switched back on at the previously
described programme. If the flame fails to appear within 3 seconds of opening the pilot gas valves, the control
equipment "blocks" (completely stops the burner with the warning light coming on). To "unblock" or release the
equipment, press the button. Flame modulation is obtained by installing the following components, which are
supplied on request:
- Modulation kit for boiler temperature or pressure
- Automatic integral proportional modulation adjuster "RWF 40".
