7. Pressure build-up test with pressure pickup module

Attention:
Always connect and disconnect the pressure pickup module with the ignition OFF!
7.1 Connecting the pressure pickup module
(example showing connection to Common Rail high pressure pump CP1)
- Ignition SWITCHED OFF!
- Clean the high pressure pump thoroughly with cold cleaner and blow dry with compressed air.
- Detach the system high pressure line from the pump and the rail.
Depending on the fit situation, make sure no fuel leaks onto the radiator hoses or belt, as they
are not fuel-resistant!
- Close off the rail port with a plastic plug.
- Connect the 60 MPa hose to the high pressure pump using the appropriate adapter (3), angle,
nut and thrust ring (left-hand thread).
- Connect the hose to the pressure pickup module (2).
- Tighten all the screw fittings. Brace against the connection of the pressure pickup module
using a second wrench!
- Connect the cable to the pressure gage (1) and the rail pressure sensor of the pressure pickup
module.
- Press the On/Off button on the digital pressure gage.
