8. Changing the probe

1) Switch off the detector
2) Disconnect the probe
3) Connect the new probe
4) Switch on the detector
5) While waiting for the instrument to
stabilise, check that the green LED is on.
If it is not, there is a fault in the cable or
the hydrogen sensor inside the probe is
faulty.
9. Connecting a PC or printer
The detector is equipped with a serial (RS
232) printer port. This is the 9-pin D-type
connector.
Important! Do not connect
a printer to the 25-pin Probe
Control Port! Connecting
a printer to this port will
destroy the printer!
Most PC-printers with RS232 serial inter-
face can be connected to the 9-pin printer
port.

6) When the stabilisation period is over the
green LED should stay and the red LED
should go out.
7) Perform calibration according to in-
struction on page 15 or set up as detailed
on page 25, depending on whether the
Analysis Mode or the Detection Mode
is to be used.
8) Repeat calibration after one hour to
achieve best accuracy.
Set up the PC/printer as follows:
1. Switch off the power to the detector
and PC/printer.
2. Connect the PC/serial printer to the
9- pin D-type connector.
3. Switch the detector and PC/printer
on.
4. Under the General Settings
menu, choose Printer Port and
select PC Printer.
