Starting current limitation
The electronic starting current limitation restricts the power
consumption when the power tool is switched on and en-
ables operation with a 16 A fuse.
Note: If the power tool runs at full speed immediately after
being switched on, this means that the starting current limit-
ation and restarting protection mechanisms have failed. The
power tool must be sent to the after-sales service without
delay.
Speed preselection
An ECO mode and three speed settings are preset.
You can use the button for speed preselection (47) to
preselect the required speed, even during operation.

Connectivity functions
In conjunction with the GCY 42 Bluetooth® Low Energy Mod-
ule, the following connectivity functions are available for the
power tool:
– Registration and personalisation
– Status check, output of warning messages
– General information and settings

ECO mode
If the power tool is operated in the energy-saving ECO mode,
the battery life may be up to 20% longer.
If the ECO mode is active, the symbol E is shown on the
speed setting/mode indicator (48). In addition, the ECO
mode indicator (46) lights up.
User interface
The user interface (3) is used to preselect the speed and to
indicate the status of the power tool.

tion about the Bluetooth® Low Energy Module GCY 42.
The smartphone indicator (49) lights up when the power
tool sends information (e. g. temperature warning) to a mo-
bile device via Bluetooth® wireless technology.
