4. Resetting the blades

Before leaving our factory, the
blades of your new hand mower
were set optimally. If the cut
becomes uneven after long use,
correct the bottom blade setting.
Slide the enclosed gauge (Fig. F
Pos. 13) on the left-hand side
between a cutter of the cutter
roller and the bottom blade.
5. Test cut using newspaper
After you have reset the
cutters, make a test cut using
newspaper.

6. Cleaning, storage and maintenance

After use, clean the mower and
oil lightly. Grease the cutters.
The symbols in Figure H indicate
which parts of the hand lawn
mower can be lightly oiled
or greased .
Store the mower in a dry place.
The models with contact-free
cutting technology cannot be
sharpened because of the
special cutting geometry.
If necessary the bottom blade
and the blade roller must be
replaced with a new complete
set. Please ask your specialist
7. Mowing with the grass catcher
Note:
The grass box is not included
in the scope of delivery but is
available as an accessory.
Use a 10 mm open-end spanner
to turn the hexagonal screw
(Fig. D Pos. 14) to the right until
the gauge just touches. Repeat
this procedure on the right-hand
side of the mower.
Now rotate the cutter roller to
test this setting: it should not
come into contact with any of
the cutters on the bottom blade.

The hand lawnmower must only
be repaired and the blade must
only be replaced at qualified
workshops.
Where possible, have your
mower inspected in autumn,
so that it is ready for immediate
use in the following spring.

The grass catcher can be
supplied by your dealer.

The grass catcher functions best
when the lawn is dry and you
push the mower at a quick walk-
ing pace.
