Mounting

Mounting
The IN4000 Direct safety system is only allowed to be
fitted by authorised specialist personnel.
Select the mounting location and the mounting
position of the safety sensor such that
the safety sensor is difficult for operators to access
when the protective device is open
it must be possible to check and replace the safety
sensor
Bypassing the inductive safety sensor using simple
means must, as per EN 1088, be prevented by
installation features.
3.1 Mounting the IN40-E01 safety
sensor
The IN40-E01 safety sensor is not allowed to be
mounted flush or flush on one side in steel.
The IN40-E01 safety sensor can be installed in
copper, aluminium and brass either flush or surface
mounted; this type of mounting results in the
categorisation I1C40SP2M as per EN 60947D5-2.
The IN40-E01 safety sensor is not allowed to be

I2C40SP2M as per EN 60947D5-2.
Pay attention to safe switch off distance and enable
zone (cf. Tab. 1).
