The safety sensors must be regularly subjected to a
technical inspection as per section 5.2.

Correct use
The IN4000 Direct series safety sensors must be used
only as defined in chapter 1.2 "Applications of the
safety sensors". The safety sensors are only allowed to
be installed by qualified safety personnel and are only
allowed to be used on the machine on which they
have been installed and initialised by qualified safety
personnel as per these operating instructions.
All warranty claims against SICK AG are forfeited in
the case of any other use, or alterations being made
to devices, even as part of their mounting or
installation.
