The IN4000 Direct safety system provides a protective
function for personnel. Incorrect installation or
manipulation can result in serious injuries.
The IN4000 Direct safety system complies with the
following safety requirements:
up to category 4/Performance Level e as per
EN ISO 13849-1 (application-dependent)
up to SIL3 as per IEC 61508
up to SILCL3 as per EN 62061
category PDF-M as per EN 60947D5-3
Note on the classification of the device in compliance
with EN 60947D5-2 or EN 60947D5-3:
The IN40-E01 safety sensor complies with the
classification I1C40SP2M or I2C40SP2M
depending on the installation.
Safety sensors are not allowed to be bypassed,
turned away, removed or made ineffective in any
other manner. The outputs must not be bridged.
The inductive safety sensors react to metal objects,
e.g. the frame of a safety door. It must be ensured
that it is not possible to consciously or accidentally
place other metal objects that are not intended to
trigger the safety function on the sensing face of the
safety sensors. Suitable measures must be taken to
prevent this situation arising.
Damaged devices must be replaced.
