4.3.1

Connecting cable requirements

The safety function may fail if the connecting cable
requirements are incorrectly rated. As far as possible
use connecting components and connecting cables
from SICK AG. The connecting cables must meet the
following conditions:
Wire cross-section min.
R max.
C max.
L max.
Recommended cable type

Maximum cable length

Taking into account the specified cable resistance, the
following cable lengths are allowed as a function of
the output current I
LIYY 8x or 5 x 0.34mm²
per channel (see Tab. 5).
