2. Open the control compartment cover.
3. Determine the mode of operation: Stand-Alone or
Chained.
Stand-Alone:
•
For stand-alone operation, a single NLGR-
Series Chain unit can be powered using either
the NEMA 5-15P inlet (A, Figure 14) or NEMA
L5- 20P inlet (B).
•
Use an appropriately sized power cord (not
supplied) as noted in the following table. Route
the cord through the access hole (C, Figure 14).
•
Use the selector switch (D, Figure 14) located
between the inlets to select either the 5-15P or
L5-20P inlet. Make sure that the circuit breaker
(E or F) for that power inlet is in the 'ON'
position.
Chained:
•
For chained operation, two NLGR-Series Chain
units can be powered by a single power source.
The first unit must use the NEMA L5-20P inlet
(B, Figure 14) to connect to the power source.
The second unit must use the NEMA 5-15P inlet
(A) to connect to the first unit's 5-15R outlet (G).
•
Use an appropriately sized power cord (not
supplied) for both units as noted in the following
table. Route the cord through the access hole
(C, Figure 14).
•
The inlet selector switch (D, Figure 14) must
be switched to the L5-20P inlet (B) on the first
unit and the 5-15P inlet (A) on the second unit.
Make sure that the circuit breaker (E or F) for
that power inlet is in the 'ON' position.

International Models
1. Make sure that the light tower trailer is level front to
back and side to side. See Leveling and Stabilizing
the Light Tower Trailer.
2. Open the control compartment cover.
3. Determine the mode of operation: Stand-Alone or
Chained.
Stand-Alone:
•
For stand-alone operation, a single NLGR-
Series Chain unit can be powered using the
IEC 60309 (6H) inlet (A, Figure 15).
•
Use an appropriately sized power cord (not
supplied) as noted in the following table. Route
the cord through the access hole (B, Figure 15).
•
Make sure that the circuit breaker (C, Figure
15) for that power inlet is in the 'ON' position.
Chained:
•
For chained operation, up to three NLGR-
Series Chain units can be powered by a single
power source. The first unit must use the IEC
60309 (6H) inlet (A, Figure 15) to connect to the
power source. The second unit must use the
IEC 60309 (6H) inlet (A) to connect to the first
unit's IEC 60309 (6H) outlet (D). If using a third
unit, the third unit must use the IEC 60309 (6H)
inlet (A) to connect to the second unit's IEC
60309 (6H) outlet (D).
