injury caused by electric shock and/or property damage caused by malfunction.
No person other than a service engineer should disassemble, repair or modify this Controller, unless it is
specifically described in this manual. Failure to do so may result in electric shock or product malfunction.
• This product is not intended for unsupervised use by persons (including children) who require
monitoring, assistance, or orientation. Provide constant safety supervision for such individual. Also
monitor children so that they do not play with the product.
• After opening the package, promptly dispose of unneeded packaging. There is a risk that children
may place cardboard or plastic bags over their heads, leading to accidents.
• Be sure to install the product in the correct orientation according to this manual. It could result in
malfunction or accident.
• Never operate this product unless the tank is completely full of water. Turning on the "HEAT" switch
with an empty or partially empty tank will result in malfunction or property damage.
• Before touching the air intake valve, make sure that the water in the tank is completely drained.
There is a risk of burns.
• When draining the tank, be sure to turn the "HEAT" switch to "OFF" to avoid Dry Firing. It could
result in malfunction or burns.
• Use this product in combination with TOTO touchless faucet only. Otherwise leakage could result.
• When the amount of hot water coming out decreases, check and clean the stop valve and the
feed inlet filter. If the filter is clogged, the amount of hot water may decrease or the device may
malfunction.
• Makes sure the spout nozzle is securely tightened. If the faucet is used with the nozzle loosened the
nozzle may pop out during water flow resulting in injury.
• Do not touch hot water when draining as very hot water may come out. Also, do not touch the
drainage tube because it is hot. There is a risk of burns.
• Risk of electrical shock and fire hazard. Do not use extension cord. Do not store combustibles that
can burn easily such as paper or clothing next to the water heater. Do not operate Controller if it has
damaged electrical connections, if it is not working properly, or if it has been damaged or dropped.
• Do not strike or kick the Controller, as this may damage the unit or cause a leak.
• Unplug the product if it will not be used for a long period of time.
• Install the pipe with a slope so that water can be drained smoothly. If it freezes, it may be damaged
and water may leak.
Caution for location
• Do not use this faucet in a humid location where running water or condensation may collect on the
surface, especially in a sauna or steam room.
• As the product is intended for indoor use, do not install it outside. Electrocution or malfunction could
result.
• This product is not suited for use in cold areas, so if there is a risk of freezing, be sure to take
freezing prevention measures (insulation material, electric heater, etc.). There is a risk that the
product could break due to freezing, leading to leakage.
