Periodic Maintenance of the Therapy Unit

Periodic maintenance to be performed at regular intervals while the unit is in operation and after each
patient includes the following:
1. Operate the unit's functions and observe the operation of the unit as outlined in the
Operation chapter of this manual. If any abnormalities are observed in the operation of the
unit contact ArjoHuntleigh.
2. Inspect the mattress, cover sheet, therapy unit and air supply hose for wear and damage.
Unserviceable items should be replaced with an identical item.
3. Check the air filter, normally every week while the unit is in service. The filter is in a drawer that
opens to the front of the case:
•
Power down the system.
•
Unlatch the drawer by lifting the button under the 'handle' part of the drawer.
•
Slide the drawer fully out.
•
Raise the front flaps on the drawer to access the filter.
4. If required, the filter may either be replaced or washed with a mild detergent and allowed to dry
naturally before refitting.
