Troubleshooting

Symptom
No dialling tone
after pressing PICK
UP button.
"Searching for
base" appears in
the display.
No visible message
in the display.
Cause
The telephone cable is not
connected properly.
The power supply to the
base station is not
connected properly.
The line is being used by
another handset.
An incorrect telephone
cable has been used to
connect the base station.
The base station is not
connected properly.
The handset is out of the
base station range.
The handset batteries are
flat.
Remedy
Connect the telephone cable to the
base station and telephone socket.
Connect the mains cable to the base
station.
Plug the mains adapter into a mains
socket.
Wait until the line is free.
Use the telephone cable supplied.
Connect the mains cable to the base
station.
Plug the mains adapter into a mains
socket.
Move the handset closer to the base
station.
Place the handset into a charging
cradle connected to the mains
supply.
Charge the handset until all three
bars are displayed in the battery
symbol.
Use a different handset to make
telephone calls while this handset is
charging.
