Basic Settings

Navigating in the menu

Press the MENU key.
The main menu opens.
In order to select an option or a sub-
menu, press the NAVIGATION key until
the item is highlighted next to the " "
symbol.
Press the MENU key.
The highlighted option in the menu is then
selected.
In order to exit a menu and move up to
the next menu, press the CANCEL
button.

Setting up the handsets

After the batteries have been inserted the
handsets register automatically at the
base station.
The handsets are then numbered
consecutively. If you want to use a
different name of your own choice instead
of this number then follow the instructions
in the section entitled Naming handsets
from page 18 onwards.
The following basic settings are made at
the factory:
• Ring tone 1
• Ring tone volume 5
• Handset volume 3
• Loudspeaker volume 3
• Display language German
• Special information tones on
• Keypad lock off
• No date and time setting
You can change these settings as
instructed in the sections below.
