Changing the answering
machine settings
You can change the answering machine
settings via the handset menu.
Press the MENU key.
Choose the "Answ. machine" menu.
Press the MENU key.
Select the "Set answ. machine" sub-
menu.
You will hear a recorded announcement.
Follow the instructions in this recorded
announcement in order to change the
answering machine settings.
You can change the following settings on
the answering machine:
• Enable and disable recording function
• Listen to current answering message
• Change the recorded answering
message
• Enable or disable answering machine
• Set the number of rings before
recording starts.
Using the Answering Machine
Enabling and disabling recording
function
You can use the answering machine in
two ways:
• With recording enabled, the caller can
leave a message after the recorded
answer message.
• With recording disabled, the answering
machine is switched off after the
recorded answer message. You can, for
example, leave a message for callers in
the event of prolonged absences.
To change the current setting press the
number 7 button.
You will hear a message announcing
confirmation.
Listening to the recorded answer
message
Press number 8 on the keypad to play
back the current answer message.
Changing the recorded answer
message
You can record an answer message up to
two minutes in length.
Press number 9 on the keypad to
record an answer message.
You can now record an answer message
up to two minutes in length.
Speak into the handset microphone to
record the answer message.
Press number 9 and # on the keypad to
delete the current answer message and
to enable the automatic announcement.
