2.3.3 Thermal hazards

CAUTION!
Risk of crushing and impact due to the guide car-
riage falling!
If linear units are aligned at an incline or vertically, the
guide carriage can fall down on its own and cause inju-
ries.
CAUTION!
Risk of crushing and impact due to falling loads!
Insufficiently secured loads which are moved by the
linear unit may fall down and cause injuries.
CAUTION!
Risk of cutting on the worn timing belt!
Wear can cause stranded wires to protrude from the
timing belt, which may lead to cuts.
Depending on whether an optional gear unit and/or a motor is
used, the following applies:
Linear unit RK MonoLine R/RK MonoLine Z
Secure the guide carriage against falling down on
its own, e.g. by using a holding module or a linear
brake.
Slide the guide carriage into the bottom end posi-
tion.
Secure loads that are to be moved by the linear
unit properly and sufficiently for the application.
Check the timing belt regularly for wear. Observe
the maintenance intervals.
Proceed with care when carrying out work on a
worn timing belt.
Do not let the timing belt run through your fingers.
Wear protective gloves if necessary.
