Filling the internal refrigerant cylinder
Before the ACS 500 can be used, the internal
refrigerant cylinder must be filled with liquid
refrigerant. The refrigerant R134a UN 3159
is supplied by the local gas supplier for this
purpose.
Refrigerant from gas suppliers is normally
stored and transported in refrigerant cylin-
ders with connecting fittings. Depending on
the design of the connecting fittings, the
following points may need to be followed
when connecting to the "external" refrige-
rant cylinder:
Always turn a refrigerant cylinder with one
shutoff valve upside down when filling, so
that the liquid refrigerant is fed into the
internal refrigerant cylinder.
Always stand a refrigerant cylinder with
two shutoff valves with the connecting
fittings pointing upwards during filling.
Connect the ACS 500 to the external refri-
gerant cylinder at connection L (liquid).
!
The original internal refrigerant cylinder may
not be replaced. The refrigerant must always
be topped up from an external refrigerant
cylinder.
!
To ensure optimum operation, the refrigerant
quantity in the internal refrigerant cylinder
on the ACS 500 must be between 3 kg and
6.5 kg.
