Delphi pump with Oldham connection

For the clamping of Delphi pumps with Oldham
connection, the safety ring 1 685 510 176 (2), the
interim flange 1 685 700 140 (3) and the clamp-
ing bracket 1 688 010 129 (6) are required. These
clamping parts are special accessories and must be
purchased for the test.

The clutch piece (5) is essential for the testing of Del-
phi pumps with Oldham connection and is not includ-
ed in the delivery specification of this accessory set. In
general, the clutch piece is part of the Delphi pump. If
this clutch piece is missing, it must be purchased for
the test, e.g. from the pump manufacturer.
1. Fix interim flange (3) to the flywheel of the EPS.
Tightening torque of the fastening screws at:
M10 = 55 Nm ±2
M12 = 95 Nm ±2
2. Secure drive flange (4) with centering device to the
interim flange. Tightening torque of the fastening
screws = 95 Nm ±2.

Warning - risk of being pulled in
Due to turning or moving parts when the
drive is running, body parts or clothing could
be caught and pulled in.
Mount safety hood at a distance of < 5 cm
from the flywheel.
3. Slide the safety hood (1) with safety ring (2) over the
drive flange (4) and interim flange (3) and secure.
4. Mount clamping flange (7) to the Delphi pump.
5. Set Delphi pump with clamping flange into the
clamping bracket (6) and secure.
6. Clean the groove in the drive flange (4) and lightly oil.

Only use clutch pieces (5), which are not dirty and/
or damaged.
7. Insert clutch piece (5) into the groove of the drive
flange (4).
8. Check whether the clutch piece moves freely in the
groove. If the clutch piece does not move freely, the
clutch piece must be replaced.
9. Place the Delphi pump on the clamping console of
the EPS.
10. Slide the Delphi pump into the clutch piece (5) and
ensure that the clutch piece still moves freely in the
groove.
11. Secure clamping bracket (6) onto the clamping
console using both fastening screws.
12. Check again that the clutch piece (5) moves freely.
13. Move the safety ring (2), so that the drive flange (4)
is covered and there is no risk of being pulled in.
Then secure the safety ring.
