Starting the test sequence
i
The procedure for producing test sequences is de-
scribed in the "Producing the test sequence" section.
Procedure:
1. In the system software, call up the desired test se-
quence in the "Component selection" dialog box.
2. Call up the measurement screen.
3. Select test step "".
4. In the "Measuring functions" selection menu, acti-
vate the Automatic onoff function.
?
"
The automatic symbol flashes in the operating
status display.
5. Start the test by pressing <F>.
6. Set the feed pressure for the pump.
7. In the "Measuring functions" selection menu, acti-
vate the Channel detection function.
?
"
The software automatically detects the active
measuring channels.
"
"
The testing system and the Delphi pump are ready for

Description of pump test
Once the test has been started and automatic mode
has been activated, the waiting and measuring times
begin as soon as the specified setpoints are attained.
After the times have elapsed, the software automati-
cally switches to the next test step and saves the test
results in the test log.
When the last test step is reached and the measuring
times have elapsed, the test bench comes to a stop and
the test is complete.
Press <F2> to call up the test log.

An adapter 1 683 080 004 is included to measure the
delivery pressure of the transfer pump. This should
be fitted in the pump instead of the IMV (see Fig. 9).
To measure the delivery pressure, the adapter is con-
nected to the hose line 1 680 711 035 on the EPS
connection for delivery pump pressure. The pressure
is read off on the EPS pressure gauge for the deliv-
ery pump pressure (0 - 1.6 MPa).
