power supply while switched on can lead to accidents.
d) Remove setting tools or spanners before switching the electric tool on. A tool or spanner at-
tached to a rotating part of the tool can lead to injury.
e) Avoid abnormal postures. Make sure you stand on a stable surface and keep your balance
at all times. This will make it easier for you to stay in control of the electric tool in unexpected
situations.
f) Wear suitable clothing. Do not wear loosely fi tting clothing or jewellery. Keep hair, clothing
and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothing, jewellery or long hair can get caught up in
moving parts.
g) If the tool provides the capability of attaching dust-extraction or collection devices, make
sure they are connected and used properly. Using a dust extractor can reduce hazards from dust.
) Use and treatment of the electric tool
a) Do not overload the tool. Use the electric tool intended for the job you are doing. Using
the appropriate electric tool allows you to work better and with greater safety in the specifi ed
power output range.
b) Do not use any electric tool with a faulty switch. An electric tool that can no longer be
switched on or off is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Disconnect the plug from the power socket and/or remove the rechargeable battery before
setting the tool, changing accessories or setting the tool down. This precautionary measure
prevents the electric tool from starting unintentionally.
d) When not in use, keep electric tools out of children's reach. Any person not familiar with the
tool or not having read these instructions must not be allowed to use the tool. Electric tools are
dangerous if they are used by inexperienced persons.
e) Carefully look after electric tools. Make sure moving parts are in perfect working order and
not jammed, and check to see whether parts are broken or damaged to such an extent that will
prevent the electric tool from working properly. Have damaged parts repaired before using the
tool. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained electric tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Carefully maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting
edges are less likely to jam and are easier to guide.
g) Use electric tools, accessories, insertion tools etc. in accordance with these instructions.
When doing so, bear in mind the conditions you are working in and the activity you are per-
forming. Using electric tools for applications other than those for which they are intended can
lead to hazardous situations.
) Use and treatment of the cordless tool
a) Only charge the rechargeable battery in chargers recommended by the manufacturer. A
charger suitable for a specifi c type of rechargeable battery poses a fi re risk if used with other
rechargeable batteries.
b) Only run cordless tools on the rechargeable batteries that are intended for them. Using other
rechargeable batteries may lead to injury and the risk of fi re.
c) When not in use, keep the rechargeable battery away from paper clips, coins, keys, nails,
screws or other small objects capable of shorting the contacts. Short-circuiting the battery con-
tacts may result in burns or fi re.
