a) Only have your electric tool repaired by a qualifi ed and skilled person who must only use
genuine replacement parts. This will reliably maintain the safety of the electric tool.
) Additional information on cordless tools
a) Do not open the rechargeable battery. It could be short-circuited.

Protect the rechargeable battery from heat, e.g. also from permanent sunlight
and fi re. It could explode.
c) Only use genuine Novus rechargeable batteries. Using other rechargeable batteries, e.g.
replicas, reconditioned rechargeable batteries or other brands presents the risk of injury as well
as damage to properties from rechargeable batteries exploding.

Rechargeable/non-rechargeable batteries: Li-Ion: lithium-ion. Do not discard re-
chargeable/ non-rechargeable batteries in household waste or throw them into fi re
or water. Rechargeable/non-rechargeable batteries must be re turned to a
collection point, recycled or disposed of in a way that is kind to the environment.

Keep the charger out of the rain and away from moisture. Any water penetrat-
ing a charger increases the risk of electric shock.
f) Charging non-Novus rechargeable batteries. The charger is only suitable for charging Novus
rechargeable batteries with the voltage ratings given in the Technical Specifi cations. It could
otherwise present the risk of fi re or explosion.
g) Keep the charger clean. Soiling presents the risk of electric shock.
h) Before use, always check the charger, cord and plug. Do not use the charger if you establish
that it is damaged. Do not open the charger yourself and only have it repaired by a qualifi ed
and skilled person who must only use genuine replacement parts. Damaged chargers, cords and
plugs increase the risk of electric shock.
i) Do not operate the charger on highly combustible surfaces (e.g. paper, textiles etc.) or in a
combustible environment. The heat emitted from the charger while charging presents the risk
of fi re.
j) Supervise children and make sure that children do not play with the charger.
) Disposal
Power tools, rechargeable batteries, accessories and packagings must be channelled into an
environment-friendly system of recycling. Do not dispose of power tools and rechargeable bat-
teries with household waste.
