4 Maintenance
Do not carry out repairs until the device has been switched off and disconnected from the power supply
through pulling the mains plug.
4.1 Cleaning the PE filter bag (bag filter)
The filter indicator near the switch indicates the status of the filter. If the filter indicator lights up, the filter is
highly contaminated with dust and is working at reduced capacity.
In this case, the bag filter must be cleaned:
– Press the OFF switch to switch off the vacuum cleaner.
– Unlock the suction hose from the connection nozzle, remove it and seal
the connection nozzle with a plug
– Move the handle for shaking the filter several times to remove dust from
the filter.
– Wait a few minutes until it has settled and then empty it (see item "Dis-
posing of vacuumed material").
Note:
When vacuuming up large amounts of particulates, the filter may also need to be cleaned during the work
process.
Note
To ensure continued good suction and particle
separation, regularly check the condition of the filter.
The filter must be replaced if damaged or if it is strongly
clogged with dirt which can no longer be removed. The
filter should be replaced after about one thousand hours
of operation or at the latest after one year, as it will then
be saturated with fine dust and can no longer be cleaned
effectively.
Note
If the filter light stays on after the bag filter is cleaned,
the cartridge filter, a suction tube or one of the parts
(other than the bag filter) may be clogged.
