Normal application
Indications
Argon handles and electrodes are used for coagulation in
electrosurgery with or without argon gas support.
Contraindication
Do not use argon instruments if, in the opinion of a experienced
physician or according to current professional literature, such use
would lead to endangerment of the patient, for example due to the
general condition of the patient, or other persons.
Do not use for the preparation of metallic implants, such as stents.
The Argon-supported application is a mono-polar application form of
HF surgery; the safety regulations for mono-polar high frequency
surgery must be observed.
General safety instructions
The HF instrument is only to be used by trained medical specialists.
The surgeon and the medical personnel must be trained in the basic
principles, application rules as well as the risks of HF surgery and be
conversant in this.
Activation of the Argon probe should only be carried out with suitable
visual monitoring.
