Materials required to operate the instrument

MACS® SmartStrainers are filters that are designed for the easy removal of cell aggregates or large particles
after tissue dissociation. The SmartStrainers are available with three mesh sizes: 30 μm (50 pieces # 130-098-
458, 4×25 pieces # 130-110-915), 70 μm (50 pieces # 130-098-462, 4×25 pieces # 130-110-916), and 100 μm
(50 pieces # 130-098-463, 4×25 pieces #130-110-917). They easily fit into standard 15 and 50 mL conical
tubes of all major suppliers. Strainers are stackable and thus allow filtration with decreasing mesh sizes in one
go.
MACS® Tissue Dissociation Kits were specifically designed for the convenient and standardized enzymatic
dissociation of multiple tissues in combination with the gentleMACS Octo Dissociator with Heaters. For a
