11. Lower bead demounting (fig. 24) (Quick system when
possible)
- Operate control 23 and raise the bottom bead of the tyre (A)
until it is level with the top bead of the rim (B).
- Command disc penetration by pressing push-button (26)
- Start wheel rotation (pedal 15) and at the same time raise
the disc by tapping on (control 23). Rotate until the tyre is
completely demounted.
11a. Lower bead demounting
- It might be necessary to use the upper bead breaking arm
with the bead brea¬king unit rotated by 180° for rims with an
internal drop centre.
12. Demounting complete
- Once demounting is finished, set the lower arm totally
downwards (control 23) unlock the bead breaking unit with
push-button 27 and move it away, tilt back the column (pedal 13)
and remove the tyre.
NB
Thus set, the machine is ready for a series of wheels
featuring a similar size. Important: remember that
if the type of tyre is changed, the horizontal and
vertical arms must be unlocked before starting any
demounting operation.
Instructions for choosing a tyre
To make full use of all the characteristics of a tyre and have
safety in use guaranteed, a series of precautions must be taken
when choosing and fitting tyres.
The tyre sizes, construction and service characteristics are
provided by the markings on its sidewall.
Once the appropriate tyre has been chosen from those approved
for use on the vehicle, the mounting procedure can begin.
