8. Troubleshooting
If problems occur with the displaying unit, please use this troubleshooting guide to identify
the cause and correct the error. If the problem cannot be resolved by the actions in the
troubleshooting guide, contact your local Ambu representative. If replacement of spare parts
is necessary, you can find a Spare Part Replacement Manual on www.ambu.com. Here you will
also find information about the available Ambu authorized spare parts.
Problem
The displaying
unit does not
turn ON when
the power
button is
pressed
The battery is
not charging
1.
USA and Japan: Model NEMA 5 AC grounded
power plug
2.
Australian: AS3112, AC grounded power plug
3.
UK: BS1363, AC grounded power plug
4.
European: CEE 7, AC grounded power plug
5.
Danish: 2-5a, AC grounded power plug
6.
Swiss: Type J, AC grounded power plug

Possible cause
No power is left on the
displaying unit battery
The displaying unit
does not turn ON even
though the power
supply is connected
The internal
temperature in the
displaying unit is
over 45°C.
Recommended action
Connect the power supply to the
displaying unit
Check that the light on the power supply is
ON when it is plugged into a working wall
socket. If there is no light, the power supply
may need to be replaced.
Force the displaying unit to turn OFF
1.
Press the power button for 10 seconds
to force Turn OFF.
2.
Press the power button again to turn
the displaying unit back on.
If this does not work reset displaying
unit hardware
1.
Remove all connected items including
the power supply
2.
Press the hardware reset button on
the back of the displaying unit*
3.
Reconnect the power supply
4.
Press the power button to turn ON the
displaying unit
If any of the following conditions apply,
correct it to cool down the displaying unit:
1.
Check if the back of the monitor has
free access to air flow.
2.
Check that the fan is running by looking
through the ventilation holes, feeling
for airflow at ventilation holes and/or by
listening for fan noise. If the fan is not
running, it may need to be replaced.
3.
Check if the displaying unit is placed
in direct sunlight or is exposed to
other heat sources.
