It will be easier to produce balloon stitches if the needle thread
guard q is used.

The needle thread guard q should be used if the loops in
the needle thread are too small for the looper to pick them
up, which can happen if the needle thread has a lot of
stretch in it, for example.

The needle thread guard q should always be used in or-
der to prevent skipped stitches.
1. Turn the machine pulley to set the needle bar to its low-
est position.
2. Loosen the set screw w, and then adjust the position of
the needle thread guard q.

Adjust so that the top edge of the needle thread guard
q is aligned with the center of the thread hole in the
needle take-up e, and so that the needle thread guard
q is parallel to the needle take-up e.

Adjust so that the distance from surface A at the top of
the arm to the needle thread guard q is approximately
20 mm, and so that the needle thread guard q is paral-
lel to the needle take-up e.
3. Securely tighten the screw w.
Bei Verwendung des Oberfadenschutzes q ist es einfacher
Ballonstiche zu nähen.

Der Oberfadenschutz q muß verwendet werden, wenn
die Oberfadenschlaufen zu klein sind, so daß sie vom
Greifer nicht erfa·t werden können, was z.B. bei einem
angespannten Oberfaden auftreten kann.

Zur Vermeidung von übersprungenen Stichen muß immer
der Oberfadenschutz q verwendet werden.
1. Stellen Sie die Nadelstange durch Drehen des Handrads
in die unterste Position.
2. Lösen Sie die Schraube w und stellen Sie die Position
des Oberfadenschutzes q ein.

Richten Sie die obere Kante des Oberfadenschutzes q auf
die Lochmitte der Fadenabnahme e aus, so daß der
Oberfadenschutz q parallel auf die Fadenabnahme e
eingestellt ist.
[-0013, 00P3, 0014, 00P4, 0015]
Stellen Sie den Abstand zwischen der Oberseite A des
Arms und dem Oberfadenschutz q auf ungefähr 20 mm
ein, so daß der Oberfadenschutz q parallel auf die
Fadenabnahme e eingestellt ist.
3. Ziehen Sie die Schraube w wieder fest.
