1. GENERAL
1.1 Applications
The S.I.R. 900/1100 pumping station is used in the construction indus-
try with one or two submersible pumps from the SDL range, as a com-
plete pumping station in single-family or multi-family homes, under-
ground garages, industry, etc., for which the waste water, particle-
containing water or sanitary waste water cannot be naturally eva-
cuated to the drains. Because of its lightweight design, the tank can
be installed on the ground without the use of lifting equipment or a
concrete base plate.

2. SAFETY
This manual must be read carefully before proceeding with installa-
tion and commissioning. In particular, care must be taken to comply
with the points concerning the safety of the equipment with respect
to intermediate or end users.

damaging the equipment and adversely affecting its operation.
3. TRANSPORT ET STOCKAGE
The unit is delivered on two pallets, with its various components. These
pallets must be transported using lifting equipment only. Pay attention
to the stability of pallets. Do not attach anything to the plastic tank's
transport rings: they are intended for the transport of the empty tank.
Protect the pump(s) against mechanical damage.
As soon as the equipment is received, check that it has not been
damaged during transport. If any damage is noticed, take the neces-
sary action with the transporter.
If the delivered equipment is to be installed later, store it in a
dry area and protect it against impacts and any external
influences (humidity, sub-zero temperatures, etc.)
Handle the equipment with care.

The installation comprises a plastic tank (polyethylene) (see Item 1). It
is available in two sizes:
S.I.R. 900 for single pump (see Fig. 1), S.I.R. 1100/1 for one or two
pumps, S.I.R. 1100/2 SDL (see Fig. 2). The ribbed construction of part
of the tank wall and the stabilization fins ensure complete safety with
respect to vertical load. For the connection of one or two submer-
sible-motor pumps, the following components are installed in the
tank:
- Submersible pump support with surface securing system which can
easily be removed (see Item 3).
- Connector (see Item 13).
- Isolation valve (see Item 5).
- Connection for cleaning of discharge pipe (air or water), mobile
backup drainage (see Item 6).
- Ball valve (see Item 4).
- Discharge pipe with flange for pump connection (see Item 12).
- Chain secured to the discharge pipe allowing pump removal. The
free end of the chain is secured to the tank after pump installation
(see Item 9).
The piping supplied is for single- or two-pump installations (See Fig. 1).
The Intermediate Pumping Station (S.I.R.) is supplied with pump(s)
and accessories (supplied unassembled).
The Intermediate Pumping Station (S.I.R.) is delivered on two pallets:
1 - Station equipped with piping, valves, floats (or I.P.A.).
2 - Pumps, case, raiser.
The tank is supplied with 2 (S.I.R. 900) or 4 (S.I.R. 1100) closed sleeves
which serve as DN 150 inlets. Two DN 100 connectors are provided for
the degassing outlet and cable feedthrough.
4.2 Scope of supply
- Intermediate Pumping Station (S.I.R.) with fittings and discharge pipe.
- (2 or 4) collector connection ports: 2 DN 150 tubes.
- Pump(s) and control box as defined in instructions.
- Assembly and operating manuals.
4.3 Accessories (optional)
• Tank raiser Ø 730 x 800 mm. Securing hardware included (screw,
Item 2 and flat seal Item 3, see Fig. 7).
4.4 Electrical cabinet Yn 4000 with sensor control board
- Ensures full automatic control of station.
- Ensures pump thermal protection (power and temperature).
- Ensures automatic pump switching.
