IGNITION KEY AND STARTING
• The main switch controls the starting circuit and the steering
lock (Fig.14).
: each electrical contact is off.
: the contacts are on and the engine starts.
STARTING:Turn the key clockwise and pull one of the two brake
levers, then push the starter button or the kickstarter.
CHECK:
verifies that the mixer oil level warning light works
properly.

When you turn the key to this position, you automatically
check the mixer oil level warning light operation.
: steering lock connection.
The vehicle is supplied with two keys through which you
can:
•
get the ignition contact
•
lock the handlebar
•
reach the helmet compartment
•
open the leg-guard door

2.8 STEERING LOCK
Connection
With handlebar turned leftwards, fit the key home and then rotate
it counterclockwise (Fig. 15).
Disconnection
Rotate the key clockwise.
2.9 ANTITHEFT HOOK
• It is a valid system to anchor the vehicle. Located on the right
lower side (A - Fig. 15.1), it is fixed to the frame and is a safe
hold
CHECK
to any external elements (column, pillars, etc...).
Do not hook the chain to mobile structures and/or parked
vehicles.
Be always sure the "anchored" vehicle is steady. The
antitheft chain usually fits into a plastic hose. Do not lay
it on the exhaust pipe or other hot parts. Never ride if the
antitheft chain has not been stored previously inside the
helmet compartment or inside the rear top case.
