• To reach the spark plug located at the bottom of the scooter (A - Fig.
25), remove the inspection casing (C - Fig.25).
• After you have removed it with the proper spanner, clean the
electrodes and spark plug insulator carefully, using a metal brush.
Adjust the gap using a calibrated filler gauge: the gap must be
0.5 to 0.6 mm.
• Clean the spark plug with compressed air, in order to prevent
dirt from entering the engine. Refit the spark plug screwing it
home by hand, then, with the proper spanner, tighten it moderately.
Replace the spark plug if it has cracks on the insulator or corro-
ded electrodes.
• Low-quality oil increases carbon deposits. For this reason, we
suggest using the following: Q8 CITY BIKE ULTRA / Q8 DAILY
SUPER or equivalent.
Note: use of spark plugs with a different thermal range to the
recommended one, can damage the engine.

4.5 REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ADJUSTMENT
• The shock absorber has an adjustment ring nut on the spring
pre-loading area.
• Adjustment can be made with the special supplied spanner on
the ring nut (A - Fig. 26). Turn it as shown by the arrow (see
figure) to increase the spring strength.
