3.12 CLEANING ADVICE
• To keep each part of your vehicle in perfect condition, we
recommend that you regularly clean it.
• Before cleaning, protect the exhaust pipe, make sure that the
spark plug is inserted, and the petrol/oil caps are properly closed.
• Do not use chemical products, which may spoil the vehicle's
paint, plastic components, tyres, rubber, etc.
• Do not use excessive water pressure while cleaning the scooter;
you may damage its mechanical and/or electrical components.
• To clean the windscreen and the motorbike body properly, use a
soft, clean cloth (or a sponge) and a neutral detergent.
3.13 GARAGING
To keep the vehicle in perfect condition when it is left unused for a
long time, remember to:
• remove the spark plug and pour a spoonful of oil into the cylinder,
then refit the spark plug.
• Press the starter button a few times, to allow the oil poured in to
lubricate the thermal components.
• Lubricate the control cables.
• Cover all metallic surfaces with a film of oil (but not rubber or
plastic parts).
• Remove the battery and recharge it.
• Store the vehicle in a dry place.
